CAFES, COFFE, SNACKS TOKYO

Hello Kitty Cafe

Hello Kitty may be 40 years old, but she still has plenty of treats up her sleeve.

In honor of her 40th anniversary, Shibuya’s Parco department store has opened a special pop-up cafe, serving a Hello Kitty-inspired menu that will leave guests tickled pink.

The undeniably adorable dishes available include Hello Kitty-shaped pancakes, “happy magic” mousse and a variety of drinks that come with a complimentary souvenir coaster.

The cafe also includes a gift shop selling items unavailable anywhere else, such as exclusive tote bags and Christmas cards. (Tom Hanaway)

The Hello Kitty Cafe is on the 7th floor of Shibuya Parco Part 1, which also houses the Parco Museum and Gallery.
