Itinerary
Days 1-2 Tokyo
The dynamic capital of an ancient land, Tokyo blends neon-drenched modernity with traditional temples, shrines and gardens.
Days 3-4 Takayama
Famous for its traditional inns, sake breweries and local folk art, Takayama is a delightful little town to explore.
Days 5-6 Koya-san
Koya-san has been the centre of Shingon Buddhism for over 1,200 years
and today there are more than 120 temples scattered over the mountain
peak.
Days 7-8 Osaka
Known for its delicious cuisine, Osaka's sprawling shopping hubs and
tiny backstreets are overflowing with restaurants and bars serving up
local delicacies, such as takoyaki (octopus balls).
Days 9-10 Hiroshima
Thrust into history by its tragic past, memorials like the A-Bomb
Dome and the Children's Peace Monument make any visit to Hiroshima a
moving experience.
Days 11-14 Kyoto
Magnificent temples, stunning gardens and gorgeous geishas abound in Kyoto, the ancient heart of Japan's unique culture.
